Respiratory tracts inflammations are one of the most spread nursery children diseases, and can be dangerous for adults. Medical herbs asthma treatment has proved its efficacy in few cases.
Respiratory tracts diseases causes like asthma, are related to balance between viruses or bacteria’s ability to penetrate human body and cause diseases, and the human body’s ability to prevent bacteria’s breaking through and to stop the disease development.
Immune system is made up of multitasks different cells. Like white blood cells which learn how to recognize different viruses and produce specific antibodies. This explains how the immune system produces efficacy antibodies, and treats the disease easily, after getting introduced to it repeatedly.
Children who never exposed to different viruses attacks, like those who just started nursery school, are more predictable to get severe infection.
Respiratory tracts inflammation’s common symptoms are fever, cough, sore throat, influenza and more. Children and adults who get infected by asthma – which is an allergic inflammatory disease, can be infected by respiratory tracts inflammation easily, and represent severe symptoms.
Although antibiotics help in fighting bacteria, it can’t do this against most common viruses that cause respiratory tracts diseases. This is why researchers test medical herbs for treating diseases like asthma.
Asthma herbal treatment:
One of the advantages of herbal medicine is that it strengthen the immune system. Medical herbs improve respiratory tracts mucous membrane, and increase the white blood cells count.
There are also medical herbs that are effective against allergy, and help reducing allergic sputum and respiratory tracts contractions.
One of asthma herbal treatment types is using Nigella Sativa which is a well known herb in Asia and can be found in Mediterranean Sea. Nigella Sativa’s seeds have been used traditionally to prevent and treat allergic diseases like asthma.
Extracted substances from Nigella Sativa are administrated by drinking, and are proved to prevent dyspnea crises that affect most asthma patients. Administrating those substances to children and adults is proved to give good results.
Other researches showed a positive effect of Nigella Sativa on other diseases like influenza, Eczema and many more.
Research in 2008 performed on 29 asthma patients, whom divided into experimental groups. A study group that was treated with Nigella Sativa’s extract, and a control group which was not treated by that substance. During three months, Researchers have examined asthma virulence in all groups.
Researchers measured crises pattern, wheezing duration and respiratory function which included air flow rate during respiration, lungs volume and more.
Few examinations were performed after one and half month of monitoring patients without any treatment.
After that, patients were treated with Nigella Sativa for one and half month, and examined again.
Patients’ health in the second groups (Which were treated with Nigella Sativa) was improved, and inhaling Ventolin and other substances were reduced by time. On the other hand, Patients’ health in the
control groups showed no significant improvement improved.
In another research performed in 2009, 84 asthma infected children aged between 5-7 years old and have
respiratory tracts inflammation were examined. Different scales were examined before and after treatment with Nigella Sativa.
Results showed increasing in respiratory ability, respiratory rate reduction, less wheezing during respiration and respiratory tracts obstruction reduction.
According to those studies, different medical herbs like Nigella Sativa have proved their ability to treat asthma, to prevent and to treat respiratory tracts inflammations and to treat few cases of asthma with no side effects.
Nigella Sativa has additional important treating abilities not related to respiratory tracts inflammation.
